Personal and Spiritual Development
There are times when working in a group can provide ideal conditions for our personal and spiritual growth.
Listening and responding to our peers in an unstructured group can help encourage in us the feeling that we are not alone and others also experience difficulties and challenges in their relationships and in their lives just as we do.
As we open up to each other in a confidential environment with the support of an experienced facilitator so a process of transformation develops which is healing for the heart and the soul.
We grow closer to each other and also to ourselves and while every member of a group is distinct and different, the experience of bonding serves to promote the work of personal and spiritual development in each of us.
I facilitate groups for men and for men and women and also offer personal development and spiritual accompaniment for individuals.
Groups may run on a fixed term basis or be ongoing according to the needs of the participants.
I run groups at my private practice location and elsewhere.
I draw on psychodynamic, person-centred models and on psychosynthesis for my work.
The Carpenter explains to King Arthur the purpose of the miraculous ‘Round Table’ that he will make for him:
“…I will make thee a round table where sixteen hundred may sit at once and from which none need be excluded and no knight will be able to raise combat, for there the highly placed will be on the same level as the lowly”. Marcel Mauss ‘The Gift’
